On Friday Oct 20 Telena Cassell left the United States and headed off the Ethopia to participate in the 2007 Miss Tourism Millenium competition.
On September 12th 2007 marked the beinging Ethiopia's new Millennium.
To commemorate this milestone event, The Miss Tourism of the Millennium® beauty pageant is currently underway in Ethiopia.
For the first time in history over 50 International beauty Queens from the seven continents of the World will be invited to visit Ethiopia, the birth place of mankind, to vie for the title of Miss Tourism of the Millennium®.
These guests of the people of Ethiopia will be treated to the best hospitality and Tourist attractions Ethiopia has to offer.

Telena Cassell represents Liberia
Telena Cassell is no newcomer to the world of Pageantry.
She has held the Miss Liberia California and Miss Liberia International Titles
she also particpated in the Miss Black USA Pageant held in the Gambia West Africa
In a past interview with "Running Africa" she stated,"I decided to do pageants because I felt it would give me a platform to launch a campaign to aid Liberia, promote awareness of Liberia, as well as show the beauty of Liberia,"
Cassell, is the founder and leader the Team Liberia California campaign, which aims to promote awareness of Liberian issues, provide aid to Liberia, and foster relationships within the Liberian community.
The mission of Team Liberia California is to enlighten and inform about Liberia as well as strengthen the sense of collectiveness within the Liberian community and foster bonds with other communities.
Liberian Girls United, a subdivision of Cassell's organization, launched a website called LiberianGirl.net. The website was designed to serve Liberian teenagers and young adults who live around the world. Through LiberianGirl.net, she hopes to provide positive role models for young Liberian women and create a space for relevant issues and information that can be viewed by all.
