Miss America, Lauren Nelson, assisted police in targeting and capturing potential sexual predators via the internet. She posed as a 14-year-old girl chatting to complete strangers online .
Four men who showed up at a home expecting to meet with the minor were arrested. Seven more men, who chatted and submitted nude photos but did not meet with the fictional minor surrendered to the police.
All men are currently facing charges .
Miss Nelson's platform issue is Internet safety for children.
The Miss America Queen was glad to participate in the sting and draw attention to the dangers of the Internet.
In our homeland Liberia, many women as well as children have been subjected to acts of rape, violence, and all types of sexual discrimation. What can we learn from this Miss America Beauty Queen? What can we do to help erradicate this type of sexual violence back home?

why is it there are many miss liberia within one year.every female says that they are miss liberia .
Miss Gordon,
As far as I know there 2 pageants held here in the United States. The orginal Miss Liberia US Pageant started back in 2000. For a number of years it has always been one.
Then back in 2005 a couple of women who were associated with the Miss Liberia US Pageant broke away to form their own Miss Liberia Pageant here in the US.
They had their first pageant in Washington 2006 (which was poorly attended) Then they had their 2007 pageant which was a bigger fisco(where they crowned a winner which was chosen by the judges to then later on rake the crown and crown another winner.)
So far as I am concerned. There is only one Miss Liberia in the US Pageant System with one Miss Liberia in the US Queen. You only have to read this blog to realize that.
